Googleさんから5月25日のGDPR関連のメールがまた届きましたね、
お客さまからも「これなんでしょう？」とか「GAにアクセスした時の上のブルーの英文は？」とご質問を結構頂いています。
「Googleアナリティクスのデータが削除されちゃうの？」と心配されている方も多いかと思います。
結論から言うと、カスタマイズしたり、個人のイベントなどを追っていなければ、別段対応は必要ないかと思われますし（デフォルトの保存期間は26ヶ月です。統計データは関係ありません）、どうしても心配なようであればデータの保持期限を
管理＞（プロパティ設定内）データ保持
で「ユーザーデータとイベントデータの保持」を「自動的に期限切れにならない」を選択しておくと良いかと思います。
（5月19日追記：未確認のアカウントには保持期限を確認するよう通知が表示されるようになりました。）
以下、今回のメールの内容です。
Dear Google Analytics Customer,
We recently sent an email introducing new data retention controls that allow you to manage how long your user and event data are stored by Google Analytics. We would like to remind you that the new data retention settings will soon take effect – on May 25, 2018.If you haven’t already done so, please review and confirm these settings (Property ➝ Tracking Info ➝ Data Retention) as Google Analytics will begin to delete data according to these settings starting May 25.
5月25日にデータ保持期限が有効になることを思い出してくださいね。
まだ設定しなければ、管理＞（プロパティ設定内）データ保持で、いつからデータが削除されるか確認しておいてくださいね。
Impact of this setting as of May 25 is the following:
- Any user and event data that is older than your retention setting will be marked for permanent deletion, and will no longer be accessible in Google Analytics.
- Deletion will affect the use of segmentation, some custom reports and secondary dimensions when applied in date ranges older than your retention setting.
- Reports based on aggregated data will not be affected.
5月25日に起こる影響：
- データ保持期限で設定した以前の個人を追えるデータやイベントのデータにはアクセスできなくなります。
- 「セグメント」や「カスタムレポート」「セカンダリディメンション」に影響を及ぼす可能性があります（編注：これらをカスタマイズしている場合は、データ保持期限の設定を改めて確認いただいた方が良いと思います。とはいえ、2年前以上（26ヶ月）のデータが必要かどうかですが）
- 統計データには影響ありません。
